Admission Process

At Nargund International School (NIS), we welcome students from diverse backgrounds who are eager to grow academically and personally in a nurturing environment. Our admission process is designed to be simple, transparent, and parent-friendly.

1. Grades Offered

  • Nursery to Class XI

  • Streams in Senior Secondary: Science, Commerce, Humanities
    Admissions are subject to seat availability and eligibility criteria as per CBSE guidelines.

2. Steps to Apply

Step 1: Inquiry & Registration

  • Visit the school office or fill out the inquiry form on our website.
  • Collect the admission form (available at the office or downloadable).
  • Submit the completed form with required documents and registration fee.

Step 2: Admission Confirmation

  • Selected candidates will be informed via call/email.
  • Parents must complete admission formalities, pay the fee, and submit required documents.

3. Documents Required

  • Birth Certificate (original + photocopy)
  • Previous Report Card / Transfer Certificate
  • 4 Passport-sized Photos
  • Aadhaar Card (student & parents)
  • Medical Certificate
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • Migration Certificate (for Class XI from non-CBSE boards)

Eligibility Criteria

We ensure fair and age-appropriate placement based on academic background.

Pre-Primary (Nursery to UKG)

  • Nursery: 3+ years as on 31st March
  • LKG: 4+ years
  • UKG: 5+ years
  • Informal interaction with parents and child
  • Primary (Classes I – V)

  • Age appropriate (e.g., Class I: 6+ years)
  • Must have completed previous class from a recognized school
  • Transfer Certificate and Report Card required
  • Basic entrance assessment in English and Math
  • Middle School (VI – VIII)

  • Completion of previous grade
  • Satisfactory performance in admission test (English, Math, Science)
  • Transfer Certificate and Report Card required
  • Secondary (IX & X)

  • Class IX: Must have passed Class VIII
  • Class X: Transfer only from CBSE-affiliated schools with approval
  • Entrance test and interview may be required
  • Senior Secondary (XI & XII)

  • Class XI: Passed Class X from CBSE or recognized board
  • Stream allocation based on subject grades
  • Assessment/interview may be conducted
  • Class XII: Only CBSE transfer cases under special circumstances
  • Required Documents (All Classes)

    1. For All Classes (Nursery to XII):

      • Duly filled Admission Form

      • Birth Certificate (Municipal Authority)

      • 4 Passport-sized Photos (student), 1 each of parents/guardians

      • Aadhaar Card (student & parents)

      • Medical Certificate (mention blood group, allergies)

    2. For Class I & Above:

      • Previous Year Report Card

      • Transfer Certificate (original)

      • Bonafide Certificate (if required)

      • Migration Certificate (for Class XI from non-CBSE boards)

      • CBSE Registration Number (for Class X & XII, if applicable)

    3. Reserved Category (if applicable):

      • Caste Certificate (SC/ST/OBC)

      • Disability Certificate (if applicable)

    4. Foreign/NRI Students (if applicable):

      • Passport & Visa copies

      • Local guardian’s address proof
